April 26: Pipe Organ Concert

​Experience the power and beauty of the pipe organ in one of Chicago’s most stunning sacred spaces!

Join Mary, Mother of God Parish for a free organ concert featuring Chicago organist Charlie Carpenter on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 3 PM at St. Ita church (5500 N. Broadway).

The program features a balanced mix of organ classics and shorter contemporary works, including pieces by Widor, Franck, Buxtehude, Mendelssohn, and Florence Price — an engaging selection that highlights the range of St. Ita’s historic Howells organ.

Free admission. Misericordia Bakery treats served after the concert.

Carpenter’s performance supports a cause close to his heart: donations will benefit Misericordia Home, providing compassionate care and meaningful programs for more than 650 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
