All Souls' Day Novena (2025)

​​Dear Parishioners:
 
Our Church sets aside the month of November for us to remember and to pray for our beloved dead – especially those who have passed away within the last year and for all those in Purgatory awaiting the fullness of Heavenly Glory.
 
Following the Franciscan tradition, our parish offers an All Souls’ Day Novena. For nine days of prayer, beginning on Saturday, October 25, and continuing through Sunday, November 2, we remember all those enrolled at the Masses in our three churches and in the friars’ daily recitation of the Divine Office.   
 
The envelopes in the back of our churches allow you to enroll your loved ones in the novena. No donation is necessary. Simply return the envelope by mailing it back to us, dropping it off at a parish office, or putting it in the collection basket.
 
As with all we do, we trust in the compassion, mercy, and love of God. For the Lord loves our loved ones even more than we do! As scripture says,
 
“God will redeem my life, he will take me from the hand of Death.” - Psalm 49:16

Nuestra Iglesia reserva el mes de noviembre para recordar y rezar por nuestros seres queridos fallecidos, especialmente por aquellos que han fallecido durante el último año y por todos aquellos que se encuentran en el Purgatorio esperando la plenitud de la gloria celestial.
 
Siguiendo la tradición franciscana, nuestra parroquia ofrece una novena por el Día de los Fieles Difuntos. Durante nueve días de oración, que comienzan el sábado, 25 de octubre y continúan hasta el domingo, 2 de noviembre, recordamos a todos los inscritos en las Misas de nuestras tres iglesias y en la recitación diaria del Oficio Divino por parte de los frailes.
 
Los sobres en la parte posterior de nuestras iglesias le permiten inscribir a sus seres queridos en la novena. No es necesario hacer ninguna donación. Simplemente devuelva el sobre por correo, entréguelo en la oficina parroquial o deposítelo en la cesta de la colecta.
 
Como en todo lo que hacemos, confiamos en la compasión, la misericordia y el amor de Dios. ¡Porque el Señor ama a nuestros seres queridos aún más que nosotros! Como dice la Escritura:
 
‹‹Pero a mí Dios me rescatará, y me sacará de las garras de la muerte.›› - Salmo 49:16

Giáo hội chúng ta dành riêng tháng 11 để tưởng nhớ và cầu nguyện cho những người thân yêu đã qua đời – đặc biệt là những người đã qua đời trong năm qua và cho tất cả những ai đang ở Luyện ngục chờ đợi vinh quang Thiên Đàng viên mãn.

Theo truyền thống Phanxicô, giáo xứ chúng ta có Tuần Cửu Nhật Cầu Nguyện Cho Các Linh Hồn trong chín ngày cầu nguyện, bắt đầu từ Thứ Bảy, ngày 25 tháng 10  đến Chúa Nhật, ngày 2 tháng 11.  Chúng ta tưởng nhớ tất cả những người đã được ghi danh xin cầu trong các  Thánh lễ tại ba nhà thờ của chúng ta và trong giờ đọc Kinh Nhật Tụng hàng ngày của các tu sĩ trong Dòng.

Những chiếc phong bì ở phía sau nhà thờ cho phép bạn ghi danh những người thân yêu của mình vào tuần cửu nhật.​ Việc dâng cúng chưa cần thiết nhưng chỉ cần gửi lại phong bì qua bưu điện cho chúng tôi, hay mang đến văn phòng giáo xứ hoặc bỏ vào giỏ quyên góp.

Như mọi việc chúng ta làm, chúng ta tin tưởng vào lòng trắc ẩn, lòng thương xót và tình yêu của Thiên Chúa vì Chúa yêu thương những người thân yêu của chúng ta hơn cả chúng ta có lời Kinh Thánh đã chép:

“Chúa sẽ cứu chuộc mạng sống tôi, Ngài sẽ giải thoát tôi khỏi tay thần chết.” -Thanh Vinh  49:16
