The students in our Religious Education Program have organized a Wishlist Drive for the parish Food Pantry. Help our neighbors in need this weekend (November 22 and 23) by donating to the drive. Please bring items to Mass at St. Ita and drop them off with the students.

About the St. Rita Domestic Violence Awareness Ministry:
Our ministry provides information about resources available to victims of domestic violence. This includes shelters, legal support, counseling, and more. We work closely with organizations like Between Friends, Connections for Abused Women & Children, and the 20th District Police DV Subcommittee. We also support community outreach initiatives to benefit victims of domestic violence.


We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of even numbered months at 6:30 PM in the St. Ita Rectory (1220 W. Catalpa). Interested in learning more? Contact the parish. We would love to have you join our ministry! 

Recaudación de Fondos para apoyar a las Víctimas de Violencia Doméstica
El Ministerio de Concienciación sobre la Violencia Doméstica de Santa Rita recaudará donativos para apoyar a las víctimas de abusos durante las fiestas navideñas. Los voluntarios aceptarán donativos en los sociales el 30 de noviembre y el 7 de diciembre, y después de las Misas del fin de semana el 6 y 7 de diciembre, en las tres iglesias. 

Los ingresos se donarán a Connections for Abused Women and Their Children (CAWC). Las donaciones en línea pueden realizarse a través de GiveCentral utilizando el siguiente URL.

Suspension of Tuesday & Thursday Devotions at St. Ita

UPDATE: due to unforeseen circumstances, our Tuesday and Thursday devotions from 4:30-6 PM at St. Ita church (5500 N. Broadway) will be postponed until further notice. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage you all to join us for Mass on Monday and Wednesday at 5:30pm, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 AM, and on Thursday for Spanish Mass at 7 PM.

ACTUALIZAR : debido a circunstancias imprevistas, las devociones de los martes y jueves de 4:30 a 6 PM en la iglesia de Santa Ita (5500 N. Broadway) quedan pospuestas hasta nuevo aviso. ​Kara and Lisa, who are regular volunteers at the parish Food Pantry, recently attended a training course for the ServSafe Food Handler Certification at the Greater Chicago Food Depository.

​They will now be equipped with valuable knowledge on how to handle and store food safely for the benefits of our guests at the Food Pantry! ​

World Record: Woman Visits 185 Faith Communities in Chicago

​Vicki Garlock recently wrote to thank Mary, Mother of God Parish for being part of her Guinness World Record attempt. As of September 29, 2025, she holds the official title for the "Most Places of Worship Visited in One Month." The new record is 185! One of which was our parish church, St. Ita's.
