The Eritrean Catholic Church is an autonomous Eastern Catholic church based in Eritrea, East Africa. As a particular church of the Catholic Church, it is in full communion with the Holy See and preserves and expresses the fullness of the Catholic Faith. The Eritrean Catholic Church uses the Alexandrian Rite in the ancient Ge'ez language – sometimes called the Ge'ez Rite. They trace their lineage back to when Christianity first spread in the region through Saints Matthew and Bartholomew. 

Our Eritrean community continues to strengthen and develop through Masses in the Ge'ez Rite and religious education for young people. They meet every first Sunday for Mass and every third Sunday for Youth Ministry both at St. Thomas of Canterbury church.
