Becoming a Catholic

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) welcomes and catechizes adult converts to the Catholic faith. RCIA is for people who are seeking to become members of the Catholic Church, both baptized Christians of other denominations and those who have never been baptized.

RCIA provides education and formation on living a Christian life, with reception into the Church at Easter. People can enter RCIA at any time.

For more information, please call the Parish Office at 773-561-5343 and ask for Fr. Thomas.

Sacraments of Initiation

Adults who were baptized as Catholics but never received the sacraments of First Confession, First Communion and/or Confirmation should also enroll in RCIA. Please call the Parish Office at 773-561-5343 for more information.

Children over age seven who have been baptized a Catholic and wish to receive these sacraments should have their parents contact Candido Reyna, coordinator of religious education at 773-443-7263 or ccdprogram.saintimt@gmail.com
