The annual Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) collection will take place this weekend (November 18-19). For more than 50 years, CCHD has been working in partnership with community organizations to address the root causes of poverty in the United States. Please consider joining their mission this year. By supporting the collection, you can help CCHD in Chicago to answer the call to “seek peace and pursue it.” Envelops can be found in the back of all three churches.   Join us as we celebrate the priestly ordination of Deacon Bede! The Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at Saint Ita church (5500 N. Broadway) with a 12 PM reception to follow.

Radhika Sharma Gordon, MPH, is the Training and Technical Assistance Specialist at Apna Ghar, Inc., an agency in Uptown that provides free and comprehensive services to immigrant, refugee, and other marginalized survivors of gender-based violence. Radhika has been involved with Apna Ghar since it started in 1990. She has spoken to various groups and agencies across the US on gender-based violence, violence prevention, immigrant and refugee needs, and community health over the past 33 years. Radhika has been appointed to various state and local commissions addressing violence and the needs of immigrants and refugees. She has partnered with hundreds of agencies and enjoys bringing diverse communities and sectors together to improve individual, family, community, and organizational wellbeing. Radhika lives in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood with her husband and daughter.
