November 9: Workshop & Discussion on Gender-based Violence

Guest Speaker Bio:

Radhika Sharma Gordon, MPH, is the Training and Technical Assistance Specialist at Apna Ghar, Inc., an agency in Uptown that provides free and comprehensive services to immigrant, refugee, and other marginalized survivors of gender-based violence. Radhika has been involved with Apna Ghar since it started in 1990. She has spoken to various groups and agencies across the US on gender-based violence, violence prevention, immigrant and refugee needs, and community health over the past 33 years.

​Radhika has been appointed to various state and local commissions addressing violence and the needs of immigrants and refugees. She has partnered with hundreds of agencies and enjoys bringing diverse communities and sectors together to improve individual, family, community, and organizational wellbeing. Radhika lives in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood with her husband and daughter.
