Broadway) *There will be no 5:30 PM Mass that day On Tuesday, October 3, our parish will be celebrating the vigil of St. Francis of Assisi’s death which is called the Transitus. The word comes from Latin meaning passage or crossing. Remembering the passing of St. Francis from this life into God is an important part of Franciscan spirituality. Join the Conventual Franciscan friars from our parish and other members of the Franciscan family in celebrating the Transitus at Saint Ita church (5500 N.
